Following several representations from resident doctor associations, the National Medical Commission (NMC) has issued an update on the NEET PG 2026 timeline. While the exam remains tentatively scheduled for the second quarter of the year, the internship completion cutoff date has been extended to August 2026. This move ensures that thousands of final-year interns remain eligible for the upcoming postgraduate counseling.
